I'm
an Award-Winning Artist/Car Builder
The
Vintage Base Ball poster series won four Gold ADDYs at the
2006-2007 awards show in Cincinnati - one for the series
and one for each individual poster. "Tripping" won a Gold
ADDY at the regional level as well, and went on to be featured
in the Sept/Oct 2007 issue of Communication Arts. The series
also garnered a 2007 Origination Design: Award of Acheivement
from AIGA Cincinnati. Not bad.
My
15 minutes of fame came in 1996, as the winner of Cincinnati
Bell's Fine Arts Sampler Weekend Poster Contest (after placing
second the previous year). The highlight was the TV interview
(maybe someday I'll get that online).
In
2006, I won the Most Improved Player Award for my play with
the Cincinnati Buckeyes. I'm trying for it again in '09.
I
received my
biggest physical trophy for placing first in Pinewood
Derby back in the fourth grade. The car and trophy have a
place of honor in my home office. |
