Vintage Base Ball Posters

While at HSR, John Pattison approached me about doing a poster series about the vintage base ball club I am part of. So we set to work on concepting these three posters. We wanted to inform people about the game, but needed something to draw people to the posters.

Enter Martin Biel & Dan Dickson, who took beautiful photos of some of the items we actually use in games; Paul Singer, who wrote some humorous headlines and entertaining copy; and Richard Biever, whose amazing retouching work made everything gel perfectly.

Before we knew it, we had a series that took a regional and 4 local Gold Addys, among other awards. "Tripping" appeared in the Sept/Oct 2007 edition of Communication Arts.
