The Brian9

The Brian9 is my version of a Top 10 list, only slightly more selective. However, I find it hard to be real cut and dry with my selections, so I divided them into three tiers of three... confused yet?

Obviously, I can only judge what I've experienced or thought about. If you feel strongly about something on any topic, please send a polite email with a suggestion, and I'll further educate myself on the topic in question.

It's a list of my favorites, based on my opinions, so let's not take it too seriously, folks. No need to tell me my opinion is wrong!

The List of Brian9 Lists

Favorite LOST Mysteries... After Five Seasons

Well, LOST is heading into it's final season TODAY, which is extremely bittersweet. It's a GREAT show and I hate to see it leave the air. On the other hand, we'd never find out the answers to all these mysteries if the show never came to an end. The fifth season answered a few things, but plenty remain unsolved. This is a follow-up to my last LOST Brian9, discussing the mysteries I most want to see answered...

GOLD
The Monster – So we know that the monster is made of black smoke, it generally kills people, and Ben seems to be able to summon it. But what the hell is it? Is it man-made? Is it supernatural? WTF?

Richard Alpert – Well, the only thing the fifth season did was make it obvious that he is someone who doesn't age and is extremely important on the island, though not in charge. Kind of already knew that.

Libby – I was very excited to hear that the actress who plays Libby will be returning this season, hopefully to answer a couple tiny-yet-huge questions. How do you go from being in an institute with Hurley to handing over the boat that lands Desmond on the Island? There are a number of mysterious people who "get people to where they need to be." I assume she's one of them somehow. She's also rill hot.

SILVER
The Incident – Obviously, the big cliff-hanger from Season 5 was the explosion and fade to white, something very un-LOST-like. I'm led to think that they successfully changed the past because of this new ending, but where would they go from there? The title of the premiere is "LA X", so it's starting to sound like they never crash. So what happens with the island? This will be the longest day of work ever!

Jacob and his Nemesis – So it seems these two are the main players on this crazy island. It took an entire five seasons to see them both (or to even know there was a second), and one more to tell us who they are.

Claire and the Dead People – It's my assumption that Claire died in the explosion of her house at the Barricks. Yet she wasn't. And apparently, she's coming back this season more prominently. Many others have died only to be seen later on. Are they dead? Are they visions? Are they somehow reincarnated? I'd love to hear the Island's definition of death this season.

BRONZE
The Temple – It seems the Temple is the place to be to have all of your LOST answers revealed, or else they would have shown it by now. And if it's such a special place to the Others, why does it have a DHARMA logo?

The Hurley Bird – Twice a large bird, seemingly camouflaged, was sighted flying around and screeching Hurley’s name. What the hell?

The Island Itself – Obviously, this is not a normal place. Why? Is it a natural phenomenon or something more? Is it a giant UFO (which is slowly becoming my belief)? I think it’s a giant UFO. Yeah, that makes the most sense. The Others are aliens, plain and simple. There you go.

Honorable Mentions – The Fate of Annie, 'Adam & Eve', The Door, Who the fuck should I be pulling for???
