Greetings
Ballists & Cranks Alike!
The
Fifth Annual Queen City Invitational Base Ball Festival
will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at the grounds
of the Heritage Village & Museum in Sharon Woods Park,
Cincinnati, Ohio. This festival, which is hosted by
the Cincinnati
Vintage Base Ball Club, will again demonstrate the
fine sport and atmosphere of base ball as it was originally
played, for the education and entertainment of all
who wish to spectate. Four teams from Ohio and Indiana
will play our two home teams, the 1869 Cincinnati Red
Stockings and the Cincinnati Buckeyes, in an exhibition
of base ball as it was played in the year of the first
all-professional team, the undefeated Red Stockings.
The
Festival is also an opportunity for the Cincinnati
VBBC to give back to the community. This year, a generous
portion of the donations the club receives at the Festival
will help the Joe
Nuxhall Character Education Fund. |
